Hannah Grace Venable was a “work of heart” who gave life everywhere she went. She loved spending time with her friends and family and her therapy horse, Hank. She was also a champion in the Special Olympics and was cherished by all that came in contact with her. She overcame so much and taught us how to live in full joy no matter the circumstances. She will be deeply missed, but Hannah gave life all the way to her last days on earth as an organ donor, and her spirit will live on.
The Hannah Grace Venable Memorial Scholarship was established in the Fall of 2015 for Lubbock-Cooper High School seniors who will be attending a college, university, or technical/trade school who wish to pursue a career oriented toward assisting children with special needs.
Potential career choices include, but are not limited to, physical/occupational therapy, teaching special education or resource classes, and pediatric clinical healthcare for children with special needs. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic merit, citizenship, sponsor recommendation, and personal essay.
